The Brazilian Data Privacy Act (“LGPD”) is expected to enter into force within the next couple of weeks, conditioned upon the presidential sanction or veto of articles of the Provisional Measure 959/2020. Although some aspects remain uncertain, meeting with LGPD requirements cannot be postponed by public and private entitities.
These entities find themselves already exposed to LGPD’s requirements, thereby demanding careful attention and the implementation of measures to limit any future liability.
