Brazil Initiates Anti-Dumping Duties Revisions Applied to Cargo Tires and Carbon Steel Tubes

Brazil initiates reviews of anti-dumping duties applied to cargo tires and carbon steel pipes.

The Secretariat of Foreign Trade – SECEX has begun a review of the anti-dumping duty applied to Brazilian imports of new radial tires for buses or trucks, hoops 20″, 22″ and 22.5″, originating from South Africa, South Korea, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Taipei Chinese. Cargo tires are commonly classified under item 4011.20.90 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature – NCM. On the same day, SECEX also initiated revision of the right applied to imports of seamless, driving carbon steel pipes used in pipelines or pipelines, with an external diameter of not more than 5 (five) nominal inches (141.3 mm) originating in Ukraine. Carbon steel pipes are commonly classified under ncm item 7304.19.00.

Producers/exporters and importers will receive questionnaires and will have a 30-day deadline for reply, counted from the date of science. Other companies that have a commercial interest in these processes must apply for participation within 20 days, counted from 22/11.
